Some podcasters recently informed me that Target stores are already pushing items for “Pride Month” (which is supposed to be June), and they are encouraging a principled boycott to send a clear message that we don’t want this stuff in our faces. We do not need or want companies to champion sexual deviancy. They are alienating a large customer base by kowtowing to these fringe, transgressive groups.
Before I take action against a business, however, I want to make sure it is fully deserving, so last week I visited my local Target in Covington, LA. Sure enough, the Pride section stands just inside the front doors. I could not miss it. They positioned it on the first corner every patron must pass no matter where she is headed in the store. And what are they selling? Shirts that say “Queer” in large letters. Shirts with a picture of a woman who is “Thinking about girls.” Swimsuits for trans-folk. Drag queen shirts. Lots of rainbow items, including several activities you can do with your children to teach them about LGBTIA+whatever-else-has-been-added inclusivity. (How fun to make a rainbow thingy out of jelly beans.) Lots of acceptance language.
Today, I visited another Target in Mandeville, LA, thinking maybe stores under different management might be run differently in this regard. The Pride section is not situated immediately upon entering the store, but they still set it up in a prominent area as you enter the clothing section. I took pictures today, which are the pictures I’m showing with this post.
So our local Targets are pushing the LGBT agenda. It’s probably mandatory across all Target stores, but I wonder how much choice the local management has in the matter. I hope to talk with management soon about it.

My wife and I rarely boycott anything, but this is something we have decided to do. We like shopping at Target, as it’s easily accessible and a better shopping experience than Wal-Mart, so this will be a lifestyle change for us. We cannot boycott all woke stores—there are far too many for that—but this one we think is worthwhile.
In order to really make a difference, we need many to do this together. Target owners and management need to understand the direct connection between their choice to push sexual deviancy in their customers’ faces and a drop in sales. I would love to see you join this effort. I know many others have already decided to avoid Target for now. We need to pass the word and encourage more to step up.
Along with taking our money elsewhere, we need to alert management as to why we are boycotting, and we need to say it respectfully but clearly. I’m planning to write a letter to hand to management, look them in the eye, and let them know I’ll be waiting to see what action they decide to take.
How long should we boycott? What is the end game? I am not entirely sure, but I want to stay out of their stores at least through the end of June (so-called “Pride Month”). I’d like to see how much of an impact has been made by then and decide where to go from there. It would be great if Target course corrects before then.
It is one thing for our country to allow sexual deviancy to exist in the privacy of people’s own homes. It is quite another to publicly parade and encourage it and push it on our people. And when they start indoctrinating our kids…that’s a hard line, my friend. We are in a fight for our families and children, the building blocks of our nation! Sexual deviancy destroys lives, sends people into depression, and rips society asunder. It’s built on a stack of lies and leads nowhere healthy or good.
Let us pray for wisdom, for God’s judgment on unrighteousness, and for courage. Then let us practice what we preach!
